		BACTEC 460 - TB BACTEC 460TB Automated Mycobacterial Detection And Susceptibility Testing System. The BACTEC 460TB System was the first automated system for mycobacteria testing. Today, the BACTEC 460TB system still serves as the benchmark of quality and reliability for detection, differentiation and susceptibility testing of mycobacteria from any clinical sample. PROVEN TECHNOLOGY The BACTEC 460TB system provides early detection of growth of mycobacteria from clinical specimens, more objective results and a standardized procedure for detection, differentiation and susceptibility. FAST RESULTS The BACTEC 460TB system radiometric technology provides rapid and accurate testing of mycobacteria to obtain the results you need to know: Detection – in as little as 4 – 8 days. Differentiation – in as little as 3 – 6 days. Susceptibility – in as little as 4 – 12 days. GREATER EFFICIENCY The BACTEC 460TB is the only mycobacterial system to provide detection, differentiation and susceptibility testing to the five primary drugs used to treat tuberculosis: isoniazid, rifampicin, streptomycin, ethambutol and PZA.

Othere mycobacterial (e.g. Myco. avium complex) growth is detected within 4 to 5 days.






		Gen Probe Molecular System (USA) : Direct detection of M.tuberculosis complex From various clinical specimens like : sputum, Urine, BAL Fluids like : Pleural fluid, Synovial fluid, Pericardial fluid, Ascitic fluid, CSF, Gastric lavage, tissue scraping material and so on. Where r-RNA is amplified so more specific and Sensitive then PCR. Sensitivity : 99.0% Specificity: 98.7% Positive predictive value : 100% Results available within 24 hrs. US FDA approved. Now you have a choice of fully automated reading and interpretation of results with reliability, assurance and that to, within 24 hrs. Yeast and other fungal identification with sensitivity is possible with standardized methodologies. Standardized and worldwide reference methodologies compared to conventional disk diffusion method for routine clinical bacterial isolates in day to day practice. All visual control possible. Over and above all, Mini API is based on two reagent ranges which are already considered to be the references worldwide. Largest possible range of antibiotics are covered. Newer antibiotics sensitivity possible which may not even be available in the Indian Market.
